Husaberg Enforcer 600 just arrived,any info,parts etc?

Hello.


Just bought a Husaberg Enforcer 600,98 mod possible. the quad has a 01 650 engine fittet by the previous owner in sweden. an imported to norway in 2002 an parked in a garage until to i got it one week ago.

Engine parts are easy to get in norway but the rest is hopeless,the norwegian importer since 1994 barley had heard about the quad.

Anyone here that know anything about this bike?

Since it had stood stil for so long i did a engine service and when i opend the ignition cover it poured water out,the flywheel/rotor had corroded to pieces,a common problem i`m told.so i bought a complete new sem oem ignition with flywheel/rotor and the stator that fits inside the ignition cover. boltet it all together but still no spark. i get a little weak spark with full force on the kickstart at the bottom of the stroke.anyone had the same problem? :)

Just sold my 04 fs 650 so can`t wait to feel the power again.

What a blast from the past! When we had some members with the quads, it was hard to find anyone with access to parts. It's been about 5 years since any active members have discussed the quads at any length so it's even worse of a hunt than it was then.

I very well might be wrong(my memory isn't the best), but I thought I read that a single person purchased all the stock of quad parts from Husaberg when they decided they didn't want to be a quad builder. I'm having problems finding the threads mentioning this, but maybe someone will pipe up that remembers better than I.
 
Sorry guys, i cant help you at all. I just had to voice my surprise and delight that there is such a thing as a berg quad! Im not a quad guy but i could definitely make an exception for one of those!
 
any new SEM can actually corrode on the shelf as the SEM factory disappeared in 2008.

suggest that you check red to black and that will be way less than the 2,700 ohms that you need probably.

don't throw the old flywheel wither....people need these things! there used to be a member here with two of them....

Thanks for answers.

I mesured the spools to day 2,915 ohms on the new and 2,928 ohms on the old.so i think the problem has to be another place. the wires to the cdi/coil unit is ok. is there a way to check the cdi/coil unit? :)

I dont trow anything away. i have 2 complete rotors/flywheels with workings stators from previous bikes if anyone want them for free, the rotors have minor cracks and corrosion on the magnets.
 
I could do with those flywheels fella! I'm sure I can find you the postage! :D :D

the coil can't be tested except on a working bike. you said you had a weak spark so that counts the coil out. the coil either works or it doesn't.

I don't think your stator is 'out of the woods' yet!

a black plug will give a very poor spark. suggest that you remove the plug cap, hold 10mm from head and see if the spark can jump the gap?

no luck with the spark problem yet. it can`t jump the 10mm gap from lead to head.has to go down to about 5mm with out the sparkplug in. with the plug in i can`t kick it fast enough to produce the spark. Bit tired of the Sem ignition now,maybe it`s time for a 04 650 engine soon.

well, it looks like everyone who run Bergs with Sem ignition has problems sooner or later. this engine is in unknown condition and i want the kokusan ignition and fcr carb.
 
Didn't know that husaberg was building quads. what a beast, enjoy it
 
Just a quick update on this,the quad now runs good. the final solution was a new/used cdi,the old had a cable defect where it goes in to the box. Just got the engine tuned/adjusted up by the importer. Feels like the 650 engine has way to mutch power for this quad chassie, makes my old Quadzilla feels like a moped :D
 
Haha ... excellent. Must be a blast to ride. It'd be great to get more pics - and even better to have videos!
