Honest Question

Great question Dale. I do not care if Husaberg is "main stream" or not! I have never purchase a bike based on what everybody else is riding or thinks is the latest and greatest. I chose Husaberg because its chassis fits me( I am 6'2" tall), the engine is simple to work on, the suspension components are high quality. Anybody who knows me, knows I am a minimalist, and the Husaberg also fits my personality. Quirky engines and being different have never scared me away from a purchase! If any thing, being mainstream turns me away from a bike. Most people like seeing the Berg when I am out riding, it is, if anything, a good conversation piece. I also don't mind throwing a little "Husaroost" at the mainstream! I have to say that having a friend like BOSS around to help me get the bike sorted out was also a factor in my purchase, without his info before the purchase, I may not have bought the best bike I've ever owned.

berger wants more resale. not me, because at my age, i'm the guy taking advantage of the low resale. too bad i'll never recoup the killer loss of my first one.. it was new. my berg is unique and performs much better than its rider. i was a ktm dealer back when they were the exotics. not an awful lot to be said for being mainstream imo.

I bought my 2004 husaberg cause I wanted a 4 stroke for enduro, I only way 72kg and the berg was the lightest with a e-start and the "high" air box for crossing rivers seemed very practical. Everyone I spoke to said husawhat, anyway I met the dealer and he is a perfectionist, his workshop was spotless and he loved bikes(all bikes); I was sold and still am, My only gripes was the bad headshake; sorted with a damper, the breather hose thing; waiting for Husabutt to sort his out then I will follow and the battery power; looking for the cyclon one Bergoroadracer said will work.
