I've done an event today good event very fast going,after it finished I noticed a berg being towed back it belonged to one of the sponsored riders I went across and asked him what had happened and he pointed to a hole below the plug side exhaust port right on the edge of the head face and head gasket. The head gasket must have blown and then the combustion gasses head melted through the head being concentrated in this spot.I asked how old the bike was and he said it had only done two hours it was only a week old he was gutted because his previous 04 450 ran without a problem.Sounds like head bolt problems to me might be worth re torqueing after the initial warm up.
