It could happen as I will Race Baja again this November. Who knows, I could be the only HUSABERG rider to finish, and I will, that is homeless, unemployed, an alchoholic (not practicing), and needs braces. This year I will race solo. I would love to get some HUSABERG riders down in BAJA to help pre run and with race support and to share in this incredible experience. This is the 40th Anniversary of the BAJA 1000. The Race is November 10-16. Let me know.

So the prodigal Cheese has returned from the southern lands. Glad to see you have once again "made it back alive " Would you also accept support from the non Berg riding heathens ? What sort of machine are you thinking about using ? Best wishes on preparations I'll see what I can do to help.

Hey Ron
Of course non Husaberg heathens are welcome. Will be ridin a new 2005 550. Just gonna put a few miles on it to break it in.

I'll voluteer BajaRacer and myself to team up with you for pre-running. Go ahead and contact Morgan (BR) and we'll set some dates...

You're crazy and I like that. Because I cannot commit for sure, then I won't. Aren't you too old for braces?

Colby, We cannot totally commit at this time, but my bro and crew are starting to look at time and money schedules to see if we can make it. Thanks for the early heads up. Aside from pre-running what type of race support do you think you need ? Are you soloing ? Is it 2000 mi. or 2000 km. ? If it is 2000 mi. and you Are soloing it. Have you contacted any industry types ? This has got to be on video. PRIVATEERS RULE !!!

Lefrog, one is never to old for braces. I've needed them since I was a kid and my teeth are just getting worse. Besides, they're FREE, saving me 7000$. The rumor is that the race will be 1300-1400 miles, to start in Ensenada on Nov 13th and finish in Cabo. I will be soloing and will need a chase vehicle or 2 during the race with food,h2o, and whatever else. Don't really need to pre run but it was a blast last year, though it does add a lot to the total overall cost$$. I am pretty flexible on pre run dates. Having some sort of trailer for camping, support would be sweeeet. Keep in mind that driving a chase vehicle during the race can be pretty intense at times as it is more of a "race" on the highway with the chase vehicles. However the hanging out and incredible camaraderie and anticipation will cancel out all the near death experiences on the road :D :D .
I hope everyone is GREAT :D

Hey Colby let me see what the schedual looks like, maybe I can talk Bob into going also. Thats right in the middle of duck season, one must have priorities. Keep me posted. Neil

If you want the ultimate challenege come to baja and just try to tag one of those vultures with your BERG Shaggy. Much tougher and you can do 70mph and throw in a wheelie or two, or you can wake up at the butt crack of dawn and freeze you hiney off in a blind :D :D :D I hope you are great Neil

Yes Ron, I've already moved out of Hood River OR. Lost at love again, oh well I really did try. On the move/hunt again. Just seein how I like Montana. So far some epic ridin. Last 2 nites I haven't got back to my buddies before midnite   Been ridin with some pretty awesome riders the last 2 days also. 2 guys raced in the last man standing and also in Romania in the Red Bull Romaniacs Race. Watched the dvd in the Sprinter Van on the way today, this race looked tougher than Erzburg and way longer. Well time to put the ridin gear in the dryer and hit the hay. Hope everyone is great.

Colby, As always you are welcome here, my brother and I feel the same way, "mi casa es su casa" the door is always open and the light on. A girlfriend that rode and owned bikes, it was truely too good to be true. Don't forget Montana get friggen COLD. Come down here and build some houses if you ever run out of money. I want to go surf down south this winter........

New to the site and in the middle of picking up my first Breg. I could be persuaded to help a solo rider with the Baja 1000 if the dates work out.

Wow Nick, that sounds like a great idea. A donation fund would be awesome as it will cost me a lot more doing it solo. Good thinking Le Frog. Hope everyone is great.

good racin! If I was younger , single livin in So Cal I think I would like to pit and be a part of something like this. never been a faster rider though, going 60+ in the desert is way out of my leaque. heck going 45 scares me.

Good luck!

Did you at least budget it all out? Have you thought about sponsorship?

If you don't put it all down on the paper or even in an Excel spreadsheet, nobody will take you seriously.

Cheeseburger, sounds awesome! I hope to be down there pre-running as well. Maybe our groups could hook up? Was planning on bringing the KTM, but maybe I'll bring the Berg...
