As you see, I mentioned only the 2005 models and old dealer stock.
I also said the warranty can be added.
I also said to confirm the bike has the warranty before taking delivery.
Honesty truely is the best policy, especially when running a business.
Grey areas intentionally left vague have no place if you want to be successful in your business; or life .
Splat said:Not trying to rain on your parade, but the warranty is through a third party company and does require the dealer to pay to activate it. Thus, if the dealer does not pay their portion, there is no warranty after 31 days. So buyer beware and be smart. Make sure you get documentation stating that your extended warranty has been paid in full by the dealer.
Other than that loophole where the dealer can choose to not buy the extended warranty, this is a good move.
Dealers are required to preregister old stock as well, so if you buy a 2005 off the floor today, make sure it was preregistered for the warranty and the dealer pays to activate the warranty.
When in doubt, have the dealer call BMG with the VIN before the sale. After the sale, the warranty cannot be added to the bike.
