well i did it last weekend at. the juniper dunes is WA state. the dunes are half dirt and half sand. the trails through the dirt hills are just well traveled and no real rules, infact you can ride anywhere you like as long as you tread lightly. so while we were waiting for the rest of our group we decided go back one ridge to make sure everybody was on the same path.

as i rode down into the bowl i came across a trail that ran perpendicular to my line. so i grabbed a hand full of throttle and jumped the trail, what i didn't realize was the second trail just past the first, i cleared the lower lip of the second trial with my front tire but my rear tire caught it hard and ejected me up and to my right. as i cam down my leg planted and my bike just went right through it. it took 2.5 hours for life-flight to get me out and i know am sporting a new titanium rod in my right femur. they said 1 full year for a full recovery here are some pics.

so to the bad news other than the broken leg..... i will have to sell my berg to pay for the hospital bills and heli ride. The life-flight alone was $11,185 and i do not know how much the surgery was yet. the good news is on the other side of this i will be buying a new berg!! i do have insurance and aflac but i know the bills are going to pile up

i didn't crash on my berg i was riding my crf450 and i would love to sell that bike but i don't own it yet so the berg gets the ax. but only for a year. :cuss:

Sorry about your misfortune but glad it wasn't any worse.
