OK guys if you are going PM me and tell me how many in your party( you can bring a friend and it doesn't have to be a Husaberg) If any two strokes, ( for fuel stop if needed, How far can you go on a tank ( 60 miles I hope is the norm). I need to get a count and see how big a trailer I need to borrow to tow up there and how much refreshment to buy.If you PM me I will send you my Phone Number so we can set up a time and place to meet. Dinner Friday night? I guess it depends on when you are getting in.

Discovered last week that my radiator was leaking badly. If i can get it fixed by then i am still coming unless someone has a spare laying around that i can buy.....

Hey, If I'd have know that you were buying refreshments I'd have planned to be there too!!!

All the best and keep safe gentlemen

Rained Thursday and Friday night! :D Snow is pretty much off, Streams are passable and John is riding the course as we speak . The Reese River is going to be a problem as the only way I found to cross is on a road so we loose a short amount of fence line two track for a county road but some will be whipped by then and they wont mind and for those who need just a little more at the end of the day I will show you a hill climb that I won't even try but have seen many come down the hard way
I am putting the fuel out on thursday so if you are coming let me know and I also need to know how many smokers are going ... only 2 so far.

BTW Saturday in Austin is "Griddley Days" the towns biggest celebration of the year. Should be fun and party atmosphere when we get there.

I wish I could have come :? Only one ride with the bike and also need to get the little issues out of the way.

Hey maybe one day we could have a get together in Arizona? August would be great!

well it does not look like my rad will be here tomorrow. I took mine in to see if possibly the rad shop could fix it. two said nope and one said maybe but i might loose some cooling capabilities. I also have not had a chance to make sure my jetting changes will work well until i get the rad installed. I am still going to try, but looks like i won't make it

Have a great time....

Gentleman

Hope all goes well for your ride and keep the rubber side down. And once Bobzilla breads open the cooler keep the big end up.

That is a bummer. I have a radiator sitting on my shelf if you need it temporarily.

Thanks, Fryguy. People riding with Bobzilla will certianly need it. Better yet, I wish the Pope could come over and bless us. I might feel better. :D

Thanks for the offer Brendan, I thought long and hard about taking you up on it. But those things are two expensive and used ones are very hard to come by. and i would feel terrible if i crashed and munched yours. If my rad is done in the a.m. and i install it and can get the carb right by 2-3 p.m. then i am on my way. I am taking the day off just to do this... so wish me luck

Just got back from dropping fuel in one spot and showing daughter where the fuel stops are. What a good fathers day present my little girl driving a pit truck for her dad and his buddies.

Heading to the store for munchies and waiting for Dez and Brendan. Mexican dinner should get them ready for a long day in the saddle. I will be selling T.P. on the trail for $1/square

Risky 1 hope it works out and we see you but if not there will be another one.

We will be thinking of you guys. Wish you were here. cool temps for the weekend, high 60's to low 70's. All of you please......
PRAY FOR RAIN

Just got back to 'Vegas from Austin. Unfortunately I had to cut my ride short just before the first gas stop.

The first section was somewhat technical thru creekbeds full of brush and up thru the pinon pines. It was a really good warm-up for the rest of the day, but not so hard that it was demoralizing to realise that there was still over a hundred miles to go. I decided to drop out after the first 30 miles when it became obvious that I was off stride and would 1. Hurt myself if I kept going, and 2. I would slow everyone down and mess up their day.So I rode back to the truck on US50, loaded the bike, and then drove up to Austin to wait for everyone at the motel. They arrived dirty and tired, but with satisfied looks and no complaints

We started the day at about 08:30 and they finished up in Austin at 7:00 pm. Two riders dropped out and one bike broke down with an oil leak.
So I drove 900 miles round trip for 30 miles of riding, but hey, it was still a great trip and it could have been spectacular if I hadn't dropped out on the first day. Tommorrow (Sunday) will be another 100+ mile day.

Bobzilla and John are terrific trail bosses and had the ride under total control. They found some great riding areas and linked them up to make a first rate trail ride with something for everyone. They'd get my vote to set up an ISDE Qualifier.

Ya'll missed a good one. Try to make it to the next one.
Dez

Hmmm makes me think the group was better off without me....

Come on...Come on were waiting for the reports......!!

Great ride! Lots of technical trails, fun 2 tracks, some sand washes, a dry lake, water crossings and even some mud. Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen including a huge variety of rock formations, alpine meadows, aspen forests, an eagle's nest (with babies), abandoned mines and views from 10,000 foot ridges that went on for a hundred miles. A great group of people (sorry that Dez had to drop out early). Who could ask for more. Bob and John did a great job!!!
Sign me up for Bob & John's next excellent adventure!
A big thanks to Bob and John (and Bob's daughters for having our pit stops ready and waiting with chairs, cold drinks, snacks and gas).
You all missed a good one.
Now where did I put that Advil?

You guys sound like you had a great time. 10,000 foot ridges? Hmm how close to the border? It's got to give you height fright.

Photos! We want some!
