RE: gasket thickness

hi ned

well if you followed any of the sherco thread you'll know that to get the chain to fit all i had to do was remove the headgaket and when fractions short i swopped for a few moments back to the old 'mickey mouse' yellow tensioner blade. the chain fitted. i know that a headgasket is 1.25mm and can't work out the blade. i think 2mm off would do it but i have to remove 3mm if i get the 450 con rod (117mm to my 400s 120mm).

the thicker headgasket would be my get out of jail card.

maybe they have discontinued these parts but i would say that they were important to any tuner.

ohhh, taffy, ur makin my head hurt :bash:
but shouldn't you be able to get a source for a copper sheet in various thicknesses so that you could make up what you want? or are you trying to get it thinner? then milling would be in order. boy, a lot of variables are gonna change.
