Fueling issues

So a few weeks ago I was headed out to the trails when my '10 FE 570 started acting up. I tried to give a sharp throttle input at about 60mph and there was no response. The bike bogged down on me. Took it easy to the trailhead and that's where problems really started. In second/third, the bike started backfiring and bogging down like crazy. I had almost zero power. I could play with the throttle to keep the bike moving, but as soon as I stopped the bike died on me. After waiting for a minute or two she restarted, but was bogging down again until she died and wouldn't re-start. Got a buddy to pick me up in his truck. At his house we dumped the fuel to verify that it wasn't bad gas. We then took some of that gas and dumped it into the throttle body and the bike fired right up, but would die as soon as that fuel had burned off. I finally got the bike home and had a some time to look at it. Tore it apart. Fuel pump has good pressure (CAcyclewerks) and filters were replaced. All lines are clear. I pulled the injector and ran some carb cleaner through it while using a 9 volt to actuate it. Came out nice and clean.

When I put everything back together, bike still wouldn't start. I'm thinking that the injector may not be getting any power from the bike. Anything else I should be looking at or eliminating? I don't believe I'm getting any FI error codes as I've got the shop manual and don't recall seeing anything suspicious upon start up. (I'm assuming the error codes will flash when you hit the starter???)

Thanks in advance guys.

Garrett.

Check the small things first

Try a new spark plug

Before installing the new plug unscrew the boot from the wire cut off 3/16''

Test spark plug boot should be approximately 5k ohms then screw it back onto the spark wire and see if that cures it

Next check the throttle position sensor the video below shows how to tap into the pin out to check it you will need a 5v power source it can be made easily with parts from radio shack and a 9v battery plenty of vids showing how to

Even though the video is for a KTM its the same pin out as the Husaberg tested and confirmed on my bikes

Keep us posted on the solution to your problem

Cambo, thanks for the ideas. I plugged some stuff up and I've got spray at the injector, so that's good. I'm definitely reading a fault code now... two short flashes, which is a "circuit ignition pulse generator" malfunction according to the manual. Dinner now, but I'll be back on it tomorrow.

In the end it seems like I couldn't use a fuel pressure gauge correctly. I swore I was reading right at 50psi. Eventually took the bike to the dealer after having it apart three times and they immediately diagnosed it as a fuel pump failure. I made them double check... they did... I was wrong and they were right.

So the bike is now on it's second CAcyclewerks fuel pump.

The weather has been ridiculously cold here so I haven't been too bummed by the downtime, but I'm starting to get itchy.
