Can the '02 FS650c be run on normal unleaded? (95ron) as most of the stations I pass on rideouts dont sell super unleaded.

i would never recommend octane booster! wicked stuff.

the best you can do is 50% unleaded and 50% avgas. DON'T GO BY A PLUG COLOUR AS THIS SYSTEM NO LONGER OPERATES. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

you need to be freindly with a fireman at your local airfield. they have to burn the old stuff off every 2 weeks and then control the fire in a practice drill. nice little earner that one!

try and get to a shell station for that stuff begins with a P...... can't remember the name? that's the best. BP comes second.

ify to use 95 -even in the Uk where the petrol is as good as anywhere in europe or the world for that matter!

Taffy

If you need to, just use LRP (Lead Replacement Petrol) - I believe it is 97 octane and your bike will be fine on that.

how about using octane booster ?

Octane booster does not do anything for a 4-stroke. And besides, the boost is only of a few "points", meaning tenth of an octane.

Try race fuel if you want a few more octanes?

RE: Re: Fuel rating.

I use 1/3 avgas and 2/3 98 unleaded.
I wonder if that avgas makes any difference?

RE: Re: Fuel rating.

Avgas is 100LL, it has a couple advantages like always having the same octane level and also having a very long shelf life.

The problem is that it requires different timing and is also designed for high compression ratio engines in order to get the max out of it.

It can give you a boost, or not. It will make your bike smell bizarre and also tint your exhaust bit blue. Try and see.
