Greetings all,

Well the ball is rolling and planning is in full swing to bring all the pieces together for our Force Ride 3 September 17th -20th.

Please use this thread to indicate what level of ride you will be interested in so that Fritz and his crew can plan on how many in each skill level will be in each group.

There will be A, B, C groups. And the following descriptions are Berger's from the last force ride.

A- Yeah....I rode ISDE. I dropped out because I was looking for something a little more challenging.

B- I aspire to ride ISDE....as soon as Husaberg steps up with some decent factory support.

C- I can unload my bike out of the truck all by myself.

D- I'm only here for the beer.....what do you mean you want me to start my bike?? If I start it does that mean I have to ride it??

or how about this system?

The A-B-C system:
Below are some guidelines to help you rate your ride difficulty.

A-Level: Possibly very narrow, single-track and old pack trails (could be only 6â€Â

Hey Dale
Ill be a "B" rider until I crash too many times and then Ill drop to "C". "C" will probalby come on the 4th day

Tongue in cheek definitions, I guess, but...

For the record, I am an aging, currently unmotivated to race, midpack A racer, and I had a blast riding with a group of A guys (yes one or two ex ISDE guys) for three days in Moab. It was a brisk pace, but really just right as far as a organized trail ride.

So, I'll be in the A minus group I guess--challenging trails at a brisk but fun pace, and hopefully a full and fun day of riding.

Yes tongue in cheek definitions! I spoke with Berger this afternoon and he said he had some more realistic definitions that he would send me. These were provided by Dezduster to me yesterday, and I wanted to throw something up there so we could get things started.

I have not been aboard a bike since Sept '07, but now that I am repaired I'll be at FR3 on either Wednesday or Thursday through Saturday.
Four of us from 'Vegas are going and we have a reservation at the Tall Texan.
Sign me up for the B rides. The other three guys in our group will sign up individually and post their ride preference.

+1

i will start with the 'a' rides.
i'll be hanging on.

The altitude will be hard on most every one. No one will miss much of anything,If you ride the A, B, or C trail we can get every one to most of the same places! Don,t worry, you will enjoy!

This will be my first ride with you guys, the wife has approved the trip. I ride somewere between A and B, I'm slow but can make it up just about anything.

There will be at least two of us, maybe three. The other two will be riding KTM's. We'll have to spray paint their bikes yellow and blue so they fit in.

I'll go w/ the B group until I finally realize I should be in the C group...

put me down for "b" rides. maybe "c" if can't fabricate an o2 tank for the luggage rack. (for me, not the bike)

I am going to be at Taylor Park the week before so why not hang out for another week. Sending Ossaman a donation tonight.

I am in for a for a strong MAYBE. If I go I will also take my GF. Depends on many factors mostly work related. But I really want to go. Cross my fingers. Any other Canadians going to go south to laugh at what americans call beer? Oh ya and sorry I will be a "B" rider, and if my GF goes she will be a "C" although I think you'd have a hard time stopping her from following along. Altitude no problem here I am always up at 14 000 feet, it makes the black flies and mosquitos dizzy.

Tresa and I will do A or B rides, depending on mood. My bike is plated, but hers is not, if that makes a difference to anyone.

Your bad beer is only slightly better than our bad beer. Our good beer is better than anyone's, anywhere.

This will turn into a beer war thread. Although I did have fantastic beer at the Rockfish Grill in Anacortes Wash. they make it in house.

As always I am confused. I always thought that A,B,C and AA riders took the same line. Some just took it a bit slower.
Maybe a better question would be to ask. What type of trails do you want to ride?

I am offering support to Fritz with regards to trails. I have a couple of routes that some friends of mine offered. They ride the area all the time. I will be in the Sargents area at the end of July. I plan on riding my routes then. I will be taking lots of photos. And discussing the routes with Fritz. I know that one route is fairly easy. It can be made harder. But there might be a few who want to take a break. The easy ride will have some single track and some jeep trails. I plan on posting a link to the rides and ride report.

Once this is done; it would be great to get some feedback so that we can adjust the ride both in length and technical level to meet the needs of all.

Fritz is leading his own rides. Those are independent of what I am doing. I need to point that out because Fritz will have his own way of doing things.

I consider myself to be a C maybe B rider. I am not a competative person. So that slows me down. I am looking forward to riding with the berg bunch. It's going to be great to get out with a group who values riding as much as you do.

Hello All
I will be there. Will arrive early and stay late. I am very much looking forward to it.
