Force Ride 3 Itinerary

All,

Here is an outline for each day of Force Ride 3. This a rough draft, and it will be refined as we get the details nailed down. However, just thought I'd throw this out there for now. Vicki, Fritz's wife is helping with the liquid libation and dinning details as we hope to have a different venue for dinner each night.


Wednesday September 16th:

Meet and greet for those that have arrived, aka happy hour and dinner.

Itinerary packets to be handed out, with separate sheets for each day detailing each days planned rides for A, B, and C riders and destination.

Question and answer session.



Thursday September 17th:

Meet for breakfast, and Riders meetining. Meet Trail ride leaders, Details of days ride, break up into groups.

Itinerary packets to be handed out for those who showed up late in the evening Wednesday, with separate sheets for each day detailing each days planned rides for A, B, and C riders and destination.

Go Riding!!!!

Test Rides of 2010's ? ( details haven't been worked out on this yet)

Meet for get together at restaurant and dinner, eat tell lies etc



Friday September 18th:

Meet for breakfast and Riders meeting. Details of days ride, break up into groups.

Meet at meeting hall for Bobzilla's chili Dinner and raffle, tell lies etc...Most likely this will be at the Tall Texan

As we get things more in stone I will update this section with times, places, and other details, especially about the rides (mileages, hours on the trail, and what you're going to see that day). We may have to be flexible about a particular days ride due to weather that might be passing through the area. Fritz had mentioned that we will have to truck the bikes for at least one ride and possibly two. Logistical support has already been lined up for this so no worries there.

Well the event is finally upon us!!!

So here's the plan for the kick off.

Wednesday September 16th.

For those that will have arrived by Wednesday, let's all meet at Fritz's shop around 5:00PM or 1700hrs local time. Remember this is Mountain standard time so that should be GMT -7 hours. If you want you can come earlier.

We can then head out to a place for dinner and drinks from there, and figure out what we are going to do for the next day, as far as rides, test rides of the new bikes etc...


Thursday September 17th.

Let's all meet at the "W" cafe for breakfast @ 0800hrs or 8:00AM and to figure out where we are going for the day. The "W" cafe is located off of Hwy 135 towards Crested Butte. Just keep heading East on Hwy 50 and it should be the third stop light down from Gunnison Motorsports, hang a left towards Crested Butte, and the "W" will be located on the right side not far down.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Each of these days will be more of the same as above.

UPDATE 09-16-09:

WEDNESDAY 1700 HOURS:

Meet at Fritz's shop for meet and greet and a general briefing on what to expect for the next several days.

THURSDAY 09-17-09:

Meet at the "W" cafe @ 0650 hours for breakfast. This way we will beat the regular morning crowd. I had breakfast there this morning and spoke with Kim one of the owners, and the breakfast was great and the service was fantastic. Great Coffee.

To get to the "W" cafe from Fritz's shop, just keep heading east on Hwy 50 and turn north on Hwy 135 towards Crestted Butte, it's about 3 doors up on your right.

We will then meet up at Fritz's shop and at 0900 we will caravan out to a staging area where there is a natural terrain track where the DEMO rides will be held.

For those just coming for the DEMO rides, this looks like a great track to ride on which is 1.5 miles in length and is basically just a wide single track trail.

For those that are ready to do some trail riding, we will stage there and head out on some open country single track trails for a few hours. After which we will return to the test ride area, and then head out on some more trail riding with the DEMO bikes included in this ride.
