my first ride on my new 450 i'd managed 12 miles and decided to go off road when i only got 30yrds when i wire connected to a concrete post caught in my backwheel bounced up cutting my leg and ripping the back mudguard off ha ha ha what a cabbage anyway my second ride i faired no better the lads consumed with envy put me through a real technical course over logs and rocks and short sharp hillclimbs which ended with me upside down less a front mudguard and a brocken clutch lever which i havent brocken one in years am i cursed ive had more off's in two rides than in the prevoius twenty!!

i can now say that i believe the bike is as good as all the articles that i read regarding this bike and trading in my beloved exc 450 08 was in fact the right thing to do
riding the bike you notice immediately just how well it turns and how well balenced it feels I've now fitted my mousses and bar risers getting closer to my final settings, only the suspension left which initially feels pretty good in standard settings maybe a little harsh for rocks and tree roots but pretty good i'm just a little concerned about this cam chain tensioner problem on the ktm's, my friends have all purchased the after market 1 from ebay with instant results
lets hope my 3rd ride will pass without any problems

Sorry to hear that you have fallen off your new amazing bike. Keep up the good spirit as shown in your post and smiles all the way.

Let the suspension wear in a bit before you adjust it. It may feel harsh because the bike is brand new. Take it easy on ride 3 buddy.

haha, sounds just like my second ride, some chicken wire got flicked up and wrapped around my back wheel, locking it up at about 60kmh1 scratched the crap out of the caliper, brake line, rear number plate, pipe, and rubbed through the shocks mud flap!
