1969 Honda Mini Trail 50!
Just kidding, an 84 Yamaha YZ490. Eye opening power. Nobody could follow you, because rocks would shoot like missiles. Later 92 KX500. I still love the big bore two strokes.

yeah bloody oath I also had an 84 490 that thing was insane when I was a we whippa snippa yeah my mates would agree about them shooting boulders!that much power with drum brake is just plain stupid!also me mates kx 500 had the boyseen reeds pro circut pipe couldn't really throttle it even 4th would pop on u real easy!!!got love 2 strokes, cant wait to ride berg 650 tho;)

I would still drag race any stock motorcycle street or dirt to 70 mph and the old yz490 would hang if not win. On the dirt next to a road of course. On the pavement is out of control hard on the throttle.

Had an array of big bore machines over the years - from the old XR days through to Husky 610's, but the one bike that took the prize for brutal power was my '96 CR 500. A bike that demanded respect and a ton of fitness to keep it in check.... Ha, those days are over but it's nice to reminisce .....

I made a list

IT 490 - 1st (Dirt bikes racing on Oval track - seriously!)
Husky 610 - 2nd (top gear power wheelies on the beach @ 100mph)
BMW K1200R - most recently (warp speed)
Hypermotard 1100 - biggest grin factor ever.....

Hey Tas,
The thing about drumbrakes, that it isn't stupid just adventurous:D:D
But i know what you mean, sometimes i got a little scary:D

Grtz Rens

p.s.Germans say: wer bremst der ist feige.
in plain english if you brake youre a coward:D

I think my absolute first time is when I was 9 or 10 years old and my uncle let me ride his new '74 CR250M Elsinore. I only got it in second gear. The bike would lunge forward with every ding...ding..ding. I was scared of that thing.
At the time I was riding a Yamaha 60 Mini Enduro.
