I've been looking a while - big bore Husabergs just aren't very common around here. I got myself an '05 FE650 from a friend in WY a week ago, and have been working on it at night to get it close to where I want it.

I just built some wheels as the OE hoops were beyond straightening, tore pivots apart and inspected/regreased, and got to ride it today for the first time. Motor is strong!

I need to respring it. Feels like the fork has been revalved already, as it doesn't have that KTM era harshness to it.

Anyway, I think I'm going to like it.

Hey Gaspipe, welcome to the site. Look like you got yourself a good ride there. Did you buy the long range tank or did it come with the bike ? I like the panniers too, good for storing that stuff you need, but not in your bumbag.

Stick your ride & location in your nik so we know what you're on & where. All the best man, use the "Doc" for the infinite wisdom it will provide.

Nice bike and welcome to the site.

ps- Is this "The" Gaspipe?

Uh, oh.....Yep, I'm "that" gaspipe. I got tired of fooling around with stroked KTM's and finally figured out that Husaberg had already done it. D'oh!

Thanks! The bike came with two Clarke tanks, and the underseat tank. It was out of Bend, OR, all the way to TN.

Gotta go update my info.....

The giant loop bag works well for back country exploring. It'll carry a sleeping bag, tools, tubes, tarp (or small tent) for those multiday runs. I have one on my stroker KTM too.
