Top choice mate, but if your out with a 650 don't get court out in the open, the roost off the big 650 as she goes past you, will be pretty vicious .............VB

i've posted these pictures already (2008 FE550E), several times, but i made the same choice you did. the first thing is did, becuase i'm on the highway here a lot, is change the rear sprocket to a 42 tooth. my FS650E had a 38 tooth. i've tried about all the combinations one can and yet, for my riding--both mountain trails and highway, 42 is the best without sacrificing power in first gear. but of course, it all depends where you ride our bike. oh yeah, i also changed the pipe to an FMF tianuim 4, probably too loud for the USA market.

Went riding yesterday, getting the knee to function again, and swapped on to a KTM 525 for a bit. Feels flat and doughy to ride compared to the 650, no snap, and no grunt! Go the 650.
