Fe650 2002 mixture problem

Hello everyone!

My friends fe650 starts easily and runs when it's cold but a bit uneven on little gas and when it gets hot the smallest throttle movement kills it, the pilot jet is size 33 and I think on a original Husaberg there is one in size 38?? The main jet came in size 190, we change to a 180 but still same problem.. The main jet shouldn't interfere with "low throttle problem anyway right? If I change the pilot jet to a bigger will that fix it?
Thanks for answer!!

hello

you need to pull the atomiser and look for a little shelf inside the top end. it is about 0.2mm this shelf and wear away. if it has then you need to consider a new atomiser and needle. this will indicate a wear so I'd look at a new fuel valve as well.

we do a kit called a 'spruce up kit' and we add a smaller choke jet, a PJ, two O rings (as well as the three mentioned) plus instructions.

I would stick to the standard MJ and 40 was the original PJ but we come down on that to 38. as the bike gets older they like this!

blow out all orifices in THE REVERSE DIRECTION ONLY and feel the 'air' on the cheek of your face to prove it is working.

finally, the fuel valve setting is ALWAYS wrong because some *** has had a go at it! follow the manual instructions and get it back to the book setting.

we also do a manual choke cable to sit on the bars.

regards

Taffy
