So the 570 has arrived from the other side of the country....548 Klm's, mint condition and now I'm in the workshop swapping out a few parts from the 550 to the 570, pivot pegz, my custom built wheels and steering damper.

I've got a GPR V2 under bar unit I'm fitting, looks like the post won't fit, steering head body diameter is a little bigger on the 570 so up goes first challenge....any of you guys fitted one of these to the 570 or similar, looks like I'll need to fab / machine up a post mount..

Oh I remember when my 570 looked like that all new and shiney. Happy day it was!

Personally I use an Öhlins steering damper and I love it. Saved me many times, latest save was last Friday when a slippery stone bumped my front wheel 45 degrees to the right in ~60 km/h...

Well almost ready to register, pivot pegs, Steg pegs, bash plate, damper all fitted, fan kit disc guard are on the way and will fit radiator protectors once the fan kit is on, hope to be out on the 570 this weekend

Well finally got it all sorted and had the chance to get out yesterday for my first run on the 570. not sure how they handle from standard but the Race Tech upgrade made the bike handle incredibly well.

The power is interesting to get used to, my 550 felt like it had a more aggressive hit, but the 570 delivers it a little smoother and just keeps offering more, any gear anywhere in the rev range....idle was to high but figured that out and adjusted it. Awsome weapon for wheelstands and torque beyond belief. Compared to the 550 the 570 turns really quickly, feels like your riding a 250. I've got to get a post to finish setting up my steering damper which will only make things better.

Probably the two things I found that I didn't like was a. the gear shift lever seemed too long for the way I stand on the bike, adjusted it up one notch and it was better, but still to long, will investigate a Hammerhead shorter unit, should solve the problem...the only other thing I didn't like was that I had to get off it and come home

Now if I could just figure out how to get the fuel tank off...!

Yes the power delivery is very nice and linear and it leaves you with the impression that the bike is not as fast as other bikes, but when you drive next to them they are left behind.

One thing I can recommend you to do, remove the judder-spring in the clutch (remove the thinner clutch plate at the very bottom with the two steel rings and replace it all with a standard plate). That will make the clutch grip better and I personally really like that difference.
