morrisberg, first suggestion is to not use caps in your text unless you mean to be shouting.
does the starter just go the same slow speed all the way thru? or does it come to a stop at compression? if it does, the autodecomp on the cam needs changed.
what happens to the starter speed if you hold the decomp lever on the bars?

May I add,

How old/good is your battery? And do you keep it on a charger?

Make sure the ground wire has good contact with the frame.

Thanks Ned37 and DaleEO for your kind suggestions and comments...... :)
I changed the autodecomp, but the starter just went at the same slow speed all the way thru. Will I have to check this part again or other?
The battery is a new Yuasa 12v/7ah and ground wire too.
It's a mistery

sounds like its time to shop for a newer starter. i have a mitsuba from an '06 f4i honda in my '02 650. ebay has them cheap. some will fit without any modifications, mine took about 1/2 hour to modify (and that counts the time it took to clean the dog crap off it  )

The starter is new too ( I mean the new was stored in my closet four years ). I will check it again and compare with the old.
Thanks and I will contact you again.
All others suggestions from UHE guys are welcome

Hello UHE
My FE501e '02 is working well but electric starter doesn't work. When I push the button
the motor moves slowly and hard. I changed electric motor, SEM ignition, automatic
decompressor lever, camshaft, new battery 12v/7ah, torque limiter, electric starter
wheels, etc. etc.

The engine starts OK with kickstarter. I use the manual decompresor lever to put the
piston in correct position to start it. It takes some time.....
BUT, I feel when I push it down ( kickstarter )it feels hard. I use again the manual
decompresor and it still hard to kick. I use again and again three to four times the
manual decompresor to soft it.

It gets soft for a moment and then it gets hard again. One month ago I broke the
kickstart shaft !!! I beleive something or some piece is stuck it.

Thanks in advance

ok

it's very hard to work the manual decomp unless you are me. i'm still the only bloke on the entire UHE site ever to have doone the mod you can find in the doc. THEN you can control the decomp even on the leccy boot!

i think you need to have the upgraded mitsuba starter motor which you can buy used and cheap so no excuses there. secondly you need the gel-cel battery known as the YTZ7-S which you may have but i'm not clear here?

the starter sprague was upgraded so that needs doing as well and also you can even go to a LX2 cam and this will help.

your engine should spin fast then slow if the decomp weight is flinging too-and-fro. some folk get the spring tension wrong....

regards

Taffy
