Great to keep the info coming!
I will have to start a suspension thread to help people sort out the suspension set up for different terrain.

Anyway I have the Akro slip on (the one without the carbon fiber) and it sounds great and gives a bit more power, and it it weighs less. I have done a couple of races and a few wipe outs and it has minor scratches no rubbing on the tire.

So does the Akro header work with this muffler?
In the catalog only the carbon fiber muffler is recommended with the header. The mid pipe stays stock, so what is the difference between the 2 mufflers?

the Akra header works with all slip-on mufflers (inc all 3 Akra slip-ons) that use the stock Berg mid pipe since it also connects to the stock mid pipe

Guys
I have been using the FMF Q4 and absolutely love it. The noise level is low and the power difference was very noticeable, i have friends ridding with Akro and they seem to not hold up as good as my FMF. I saving to buy the header with the power bomb, I talked to Nathan Woods and he loves the FMF system.

if ya gonna waste money on a muffler get one that can fit other bikes . with movable brackets and no pipe on it .mine has been on an o4 450exc,then an 02 520 exc and now an 09 570

My Akro was sold as being from an 06 450EXC, so is the older style titanium one. It fits straight on my 09 570, but did need a little messing with angles to stop the rear wheel rubbing too much. In saying that, a quick rub with petrol and the tyre rubber is gone anyway.

I picked it up new on fleabay, as being old stock and saved a fortune on the dealer price (try 1/3 of the retail).

Nice and light, looks the nutts and has a nice sound. I was initially disapointed it wasn;t really loud, but when you press the warp speed button on the 570, you forget it anyway!
