HI AS ANBODY HAD DEALINGS WITH ELECTRIX WORLD STATORS AS ADVERTISED ON EBAY ?

They are generally regarded as not very good. The manufacturers or importers came to the site once and were quick to make an attempt to discredit a HIGHLY REGARDED MEMBER here, Sparks, at U.K. Motoplat (see his banner ad at the top of the home page).

Send your stator to Sparks and have it rewound better than new. Probably the best thing you can do for a 2003 and older Berg.

Billy,
I bought an Electrex stator off ebay and in 8 months have had no problems so far......... why didn't i go with Sparks?
Being impatient i didn't want to wait the 10 day or so turn around when Electrex got it to me a day, obviously i may regret this at a later date.
In hindsight i would go with sparks just because of his respect on this sight.

On a related subject, has anyone used an Electrex ignition on a BSA or Triumph? The unit they advertise looks ok in the picture, but if it craps out after a few motos, I'd rather stay with points and total loss.

i would have thought EXACTLy the same principle applies! i found it to be a good starter and ok on a run. sparks has found that they don't have a diode in the coild to control the voltage produced. luckily the husaberg can cope but whether a triumph can - who knows!

regards

Taffy
