Hi,I've recently bought a 2010 390 berg and was wondering what the proceedure was for starting a bike with fuel
injection after it has swallowed a lung full of water. Some of the trails I ride cross deepish water and I would like
to know just incase the worst should happen. Thanks for any advice KC.

HI WE HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF 09 450 COMLETELY SUBMERGED AND THEY RAN FINE AFTER THE FOLLOWING.SAME AS ANY BIKE TAKE PLUG OUT AND CRANK OVER UNTIL NO MORE WATER COMING OUT. LIFT AIR FILTER OUT AND MAKE SURE NO WATER IN AIR INTAKE.AS FAR AS INJECTION GOES UNLESS YOU GET WATER IN FUEL TANK IT WONT DO ANY HARM AS IT IS A SEALED PRESSURE SYSTEM .REGARDS HTM

I recently dropped my 09 FE570 in water about three feet deep and it swallowed a full gulp. There was so much water in the cylinder that I had hydraulic lock. Much to my dismay, I noticed that I had a nice new spark plug but no wrench. I removed the air filter and turned the bike upside down and open the throttle. I bunch of water poured out and I was then able to turn the engine over using the magic button. After about 10 sec of cranking, I turned the bike rightside up and hit the starter for about another 20 sec. before it fired. Unbelievable!! The 70 degree engine allows the water to run out easily and I didn't even have to clean the plug. Good luck!
