dodgy crank?

Just having a a look through the rebuild manual and saw the specs for measuring across the crank outer webs (60mm +- 0.05mm).
When i measured mine it was 60.06 at the crank pin and 60.18 opposite the pin :shock:

Ive got a feeling i should be worried about this? :?

Wish i hadnt measured it now :lol:

my manual says 62.35 -62.50mm so where are you reading this?

if in doubt get it to an engineers and check the run out on the crank. it's in the manual.

The specs are different for the later model cranks Taff.

Later ones are measured across the crank webs- earlier ones are measured across the "step" that spaces mains inner races away from the web, not the webs themselves.

They show a detailed view in the early (02 etc) manual that explains it better than I have :?

I got the spec from the 2004 rebuild manual. Wat a PITA this bike is turnin out 2 be lol
