i've asked the 'did' (joking!) if the bike is an '03 for sure. he has the frame number but says he is going to grind it off. surely he should leave it on there and use the documents to validate his sale?

does anyone know how you tell what year a frame is from? in other words; is "03" in the frame number coding for instance?

ok i've checked all the parts books thanks to the husaberg.se downloads.

FE/FSe frames from '01 110-229-01
FSc/FC/FCe = 110-229-02
FXe =110-229-03

the same numbers are repeated in '02 but you change the "229" to "242"

for '03 it's the same again, and again the same on the model split. this time the frame codes are "251" e.g. 110-251-01 for the FE/FSe.

but they don't show up in the log book.

my frame number is

YU7 FE4 E8 02 000035*

i have deliberately broken the VIN# down as i feel it might go.

YU7 ?
FE4 = FE400e
E8 = european market spec
02 = is this the year of the frame? surely it is?
000035* is the production run number of this type of machine

i suppose FE6 went to the 600's a few years back? and so the 650's are FE7 correct?

E7? some kind of european approval?

now i had '02' and you had '42'? what the hell is all that about?

did you know that in a survey carried out to see the most succesful country of all time in the olympic track & field-finland came first! even though i don't think you've won a gold for 33 years at track & field that is one hell of a record!

then we have your cross country skiing, ski jumping, enduro and not to mention THE RALLY DRIVING. how the bloody hell do they do it? you even produce great F1 drivers and to really piss us all off the fastest woman rider of all time (taru rinni)!!!! wooow!

parvo nurmi (speedway), bjorn valderguaard, kekerosberg and the guy from a few seasons back. how the hell? 1-million people.

possibly the greatest runner of all time next to heile G!!!!!! name him!

the greatest talent of his era (the 1970's) before he was killed at monza with renzo p. name him?

Well I need to tell also that we are over (barely) 5 million people, we drink a lot of beer, vodka, use cellular phones (nokia) and toilet paper (paper industry), we make cruisers for Bahama and Mediterrenean seas, and use elevators when ever possible(Kone)....

And we make a lot of jokes about Swedes,,,,,, a lot with Norwegians,,,,,

what a rider!

paavo nurmi-the greatest runner i think ever. destroyed the GB runner in the marathon with the words "am i running too fast/is the pace fast enough?"

hakkinen of course!

i seem to have got my speedway rider and nurmi muddled up. i can't think now who he was from the 70's???? it'll come to me.

i went to the world championships in sevilla, espana in '99 and at my hotel were 8 finns who had travelled down about 30 hours IN A MINIBUS!!!!

piss heads or what (clue;the answer isn't 'or what!').

quite a breed of people. still churning out great javalin throwers as well.

i went to a town called javenpaa when i was 15 and had a great time there for a week! sauna's done properly by running down the pier to the lake. adults in the nude, saunas with coach loads of nude adults all sat on tables and chairs reading in 70degrees C.

pretty blond girls and countryside that looked like an egg tray;
if the egg went up it was a hill/mountain and if it went down it was a lake!!!!
