it's all adding up now. i've reported it here before but i don't make a big issue out of it and that is that:
1) he was undercutting all his dealers on new prices
2) he was knocking out old models way cheaper than newest ones
3) dealers were paying 100% for their bikes and not getting them on the next or the one after shipment
4) nobody sold cheaper second hand-that really hurts!
5) he was asked to be just the importer by the dealers but he wouldn't stop
6) all the adverts had DCR clearly on them over others or sometimes as big as the name husaberg
7) the race teams were named after his dealership and not after husaberg
his parts system was chaotic.
but he was without doubt totally committed to the cause and if the company had only had more of an accounts brain at the top he may have survived.
let's hope the situation is sorted soon. i don't mind if DCR gets it again as long as he changes his ways. a good parts system is more important than signing criddon, happy dealers comes higher than taking on the big H and orange peel at SM1 or SM anything...
no way did sales justify the expense. i've heard a few tales of fees and costs and they make your eyes water.
in the meantime the two (used to be) biggest dealers in the UK-sr offroad i feel are struggling (that's what he told me) and gary grover, who doesn't throw his money at racing continues to do-fine-thank-you-very-much....
