first of all i have to set my signature so i don't have to keep saying " my 06 fe450e". at least until i score a 550 :D ... anyways i park her on my porch and i was staring at her ass and noticed my sub frame section looks bent to the right. it's been buggin' me real bad. then it occurred to me that perhaps it's offset to compensate for the silencer on the left, maybe to balance her out? i sure as heck hope so!!! please don't tell me she's bent. on the other hand, don't tell me what i want to hear either, tell me like it is... is every body elses husy's ass crooked, or was mine's just ridden harder, lol

is that enough drivel for ya taff?

Hmmm, another Husa mystery. My 06 650 looks the same. Until now I thought it was a rider issue - now it appears that I can blame someone other than myself.

RE: Re: crooked ass husy...

you've probably bought a write-off!

set it perfectly upright on the JitB stand and make sure that it is UPRIGHT.

rear wheel out, seat and seat pan off. get a piece of string and a heavy nut tied to the end and then test it over the rear swing arm which should still be straight. you may even be able to afford a proper plumb-bob. most builders and all brickies will have one.

prolly just got looped out by the po. my '04 is the only one i ever had that is straight.

RE: Re: crooked ass husy...

Many are like that ,appears tha same guy welds the subframes as welds the foot on the side stand!! :D

My 02 looks the same as you describe, but upon further investigation, it is an optical illusion. The pointy rear fender, the way the plastic is made and all, play off the knobs of the tire and trick ya ! Put the bike on a center stand and get behind the bike a bit, and it will look right again. The illusion is worse when the bike is on the side stand.
