Hi Crew,
Bit of a short story long, sorry.
I recently bought a FS 570 second hand. I'm in New Zealand and I bought it from a bloke that imported it from the USA. It had no service history and the guy wasn't very knowledgable about any details about the bike.
While doing some maintenace I found a sticker on the fusebox, for a Bike Dealership in the USA. I googled them, found their details and emailed their service dept. with the VIN # of my bike.
I was chuffed to get a really prompt and detailed response from their Service Manager, Marc Caravaggio. He advised that the bike was sold new at their dealership, had recieved several services there, had all the KTM/Berg recall items followed up on and replaced by them, and also had the ECU and emissions modded/set to the 'Open' settings. Swt!!
I followed up with a few more questions and Marc got back to me straight away everytime. I was pretty impressed with his awesome service (as I'm not even a customer!) and also with JP MotorSports for doing all the right things for the original owner and for following up on all recall items and also adjusting the ECU. It seems like there are heaps of dealers that didn't.
So, if you live in CA, JP Motorsports seems like a sweet place to deal with.
