So when out to tuck my baby in to sleep and noticed alot of moisture in my gadge AARGG what do i? do is it saveable? Will i have to replace it with a new one? If so am i able to get a new one programed with my current hours and km's?

Thanks in advance

So i dried it out, and put a new battery in no go!

So after looking at replacement OME speedos and seeing the price and reading of other people's water damage issues i have been looking at the trail tech dashes half the price 3x the features. So who is useing them? How you liking them? Are they easy to fit?
Once againg thanks in advance Hardian

UP DATE…
Even though i have had no replies… i will place an update… I managed yo dry out the stock speedo… 45°C for 36 hours, with the battery panel open. placed a nee battery in and it came on my hours and K's were still recorded. There was a hole in the battery panel and a hair line crack at one of the screw mounts, i sealed these with gaskets sealant, and epoxy respectively.
Apon fitting i have discovered that the dash back light nolonger comes on and the computer nolonger pics up the speedo sender…
Looks like uts time to order a trail tech computer. Are there other options?

Hey there,

I run a Trail Tech Vapour on my 650, it's been on there over ten years and apart from needing the back up battery changed a couple of times has been 100%.
Being able to programme in shift light settings, temperature warning lights etc is great as well as all the usual speed, revs etc. etc.

Great bits of kit.

Carl.

Thanks Plumbbob, i am now trying to choose between the vapor with its big taco and shift lights or the striker with its volt meter… if i get the vapor i am thinking of getting a stand alone volt meter…
