Good photo Brett! I kind of like the color of the pipes and all head pipes color in one way or another. If you prefer non-colored pipes maybe some Custom Chrome double wall pipes are available for the Berg. :roll:

All joking aside and for what it may be worth:
HD as with many OEM do indeed use double wall construction for both appearance and safety.
A very large portion of my tuning business is that of high performance HD'S which feature some brand of a single wall chrome plated header.
Outside of improved performance many clients seek my service in search of a cure for the "Header Blues". In addition to a proper state of tune, education regarding correct warm up most often eliminates the problem. IE A single wall chrome plated exhaust need not turn blue nor a stainless system yellow.

My comment regarding the purple exhaust was in jest and directed toward Brett Saunders as he once stated early on that I take myself far too serious and consequently lack a sense of humour. Of course that was before he really knew me.
