Hey still pretty new to the world of dirt bikes and recently my 05 fe450 started having issues starting up it didn't have before. It starts up fine but if I try and give it any throttle before engine is warm it dies. Haven't been able to figure out the reason would love if anyone has some info. Also curious if anyone has a video link for doing the valve adjustments. Thanks any information would help.

Cheers

blocked choke and pilot jet and also tappets. likely; tightening inlets is the problem. you must be able to morse code them and JUST hear them at the rear licence plate.

as soon as someone came into the workshop here. it was check for spark, tappets, clean those two carb jets, start it, set the idle and the FS. job done.

we'd usually do the whole carb because we wouldn't trust anything in there and we were right to. trapped kids, money, an eitheopian family....and completely the wrong jets.

regards

Taffy
