Clutch cable for a 1998 FE600E

Great Site - I have probably read 85% of everything - wish I found it sooner. My question - I need new clutch cable for my 98 FE600E. Is it possible to cross reference this part with another make? I have access to all Japanese cables fast and cheap. Thanks for any help - sorry if its already posted - I could not find it. :?

I tried that a while back for my bike a 96 Husaberg FE501 without any sucess.The reason is either the length is different or the ends.Measure your old cable and hang on to the ends{for future reference}.You might be able to make something work but it is time consuming.Check with Dan and see if he can help.I made a cable for my bike and it works very good but there is a lot of effort involved.I can give you more infro. if you need it.Hope this helps.P.S. I have .50 cents in my cable.
