cant decide 570, or, 650, whats better???

Thanks for clarifying that Bushmechanic, you seem to have a wealth of knowledge on these bikes. Wish the DOCs were still available. The '05 suspension was excellent out of the box IMO, but I'm pretty heavy, so it may have been too harsh for many guys. I rode an '06 and honestly like my '05 better. I just remember reading the '07/8 models had better suspension, never rode 'em.

I think the '05 650 suspension suits me better than my new TE300. Had to re-spring it and still dialing it in.

finally bought a 06 fs 650 original low 2400 ks full service history bike is in immaculate condition just waiting for it to be freighted from the gold coast had a mechanic check the whole bike out and did a crank end float test everthing on this bike is spot on very well cared for,so ive orderd some axle sliders and peg sliders from England,ive spent the last 4 months or so looking at 650s I really wanted an 07 model 08 model there were a couple out there but they were all 10,000 ks or more and would need a rebuild so I went the 06,i also like the look of the 06 fs black tank with blue guards so hopefully turn out to be good bike just had brand new battery and valve service oil change etc,only thing it has skinny looking tires anyone know the fattest chunky wheels u can run without scraping chain frame etc? il post pics as soon as I get it ,n the best thing is I still got the old r1 for the open road on those sunny days regards tas
