Hi fellow Husafanatics, I am trying to get my hands on a good secondhand rear shock for a 06 550.
Can anyone help?
Goes Clunk (metal to metal dead stop) when bouncing on it, oooops!
Any help appreciated.
I am in good old New Zealand, so if you are willing I am happy to pay freight to get it here.
Cheers
Neil.

they are all over ebay UK. why not agree to buy the shock but ask him to remove the spring and save postage.

every single WP part is available so why not visit WP new zealand?

regards

Taffy

Thanks again, happy trails everyone!
Neil.

Sorry missed Grasstrack petes message...

How much for your shock minus spring?
my e-mail is [email protected] f you want to throw me a direct e-mail.
cheers
Neil.

Hey Iceburg, Bushie is as hard on the gear as anyone on this site & I'd think that even he would agree that 20 hrs from rebuild to failure is not right. Who serviced the shock ? Something isn't right for it to fail in 20 hrs, unless your into free-falling of roof tops on it. If you're gunna buy a new one outright, can you pull the old one apart & let us know what went bad ? Might shed some more light.

I think he means that its worn out as noted during the last service ?

but yeah they're easy to pull apart then if all you need is a new needle Dangeroo can help.

and metal on metal means the second piston prolly unscrewed itself.

50 quid or about $100 is a good price for one WO spring I sold 2 last year

Purchase of Shock

Hi Grasstrack Pete, I would like to purchase the shock if I can please, can you e-mail me your details and how you want payment etc to ntech @clear.net.nz.
I will pay for packacging and postage etc.
Cheers
Neil.
Shock is beyond rebuilding, I suspect the guy who rebuilt it for me didnt quite do it right!
I am a bigger guy and i do a bit of extreme hillwork and have been known to put flats in rims (CRF450X landed so hard I put 2 flats in rims and flexed the frame enough to blow the head gasket) needless to say I nutted myself and had a set the size of golf balls for a while (Ouch!)
