Yeah, That got your attention didn't it!

I said I would not tell, however I must.

UHE member and dear friend RockyMT is scheduled for Cancer surgery Wednesday morning. Please keep he and his family in your prayers and thoughts.

We have all seen what negative energy can do. Let's see what positive thoughts bring about.

Ken Mountain. AKA RockyMT

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Dale

PS
I am now on the RockyMT hit list. Not a good place to be.

Two things;
A) Rumors of my imminent demise are greatly exaggerated, as the Black Knight on Monty Python would say, "just a flesh wound, nothin' to worry about!" I'll be back better 'n ever in a couple of weeks! :D

B) Lineaweaver yer DEAD! (just kidding, who else would trick out my bikes and put up with all my whining!?)

Ride safe yall, and have fun!,

Rocky

Rocky,
Sending out good juju and positive waves, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope all goes well for you and yours. You will be riding again soon! As always I enjoy your posts and insight.

Be Well

Rocky, Best wishes on a quick recovery. I had a short battle with cancer five years ago this August. I continue to be cancer free and every six month follow up appt. leaves it further behind in the dust.

I'm pulling for ya'

Joel

Best wishes to you and your family, you will be in my thoughts as well.

I've got good Karma to spare. 8)

Thanks so much guys! I have friends I didn't even know I had! The messages really mean a lot to me. I didn't want to burden anyone with my trivial dilemma, but now the cats outa the bag, it's great to know I've got people pullin for me. Now for the public service announcement; My wife has been nagging me for 2 years to get a complete physical (turned 50, and she laid down the law, "no Pikes Peak or Isle of Man in '07 if I don't) and as I knew, that entailed a "scoping" of my "exhaust pipe", I had it done 20 years ago, and it wasn't much fun. Well even though I felt fine (and still do) I did it to get her off my back. SHE SAVED MY LIFE! The Doctor found a growth in my colon (remember I was "symptom free") and they are removing it without having to cut out large sections and avoiding all the other nastiness involved with that. If I hadn't gotten checked out, in time (even the doctor couldn't say how long) It would have been either a MAJOR surgery and chemo/radiation at best or, in-operable and checkout time at worst. Bottom line (no pun intended!) if you're over 45, get the test done!!!! It's MUCH better than it used to be, they knock you out, do it in 15 minutes, you wake up and literally don't even know you're finished. Zero discomfort. If not for yourself (I know you're all just like me, lucky/bulletproof/will live forever) do it for the people you love. I can't keep from wondering how It would have been if it wasn't for Ricki (my wife) hammering me for 2 years to just get it done......Anyway, gotta check out for a few days, then I'm gonna get caught up on X-Box and Jerry Springer re-runs for a week or two. I'll be back soon (and faster than ever as I'll be a few pounds lighter!) Thanks again for your thoughts,
Till next time,
Ken "Rocky" Mountain

Sounds like you caught it in time. Good luck to you !

May the force be with you.

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine. He had an on going medical problem and finally had his colon checked and sure enough, he was within 2 weeks of the cancer spreading to his Lymphatic system. By then it would have been too late. All is just perfect now.

Maybe I should be next...

My wife and Rocky share a similar ailment which requires "the probe".
Next time I will be joining her simply as preventative maintenance.

Uh-oh I just turned 45 I suppose I will heed Rocky's advice. My older brother has had his entire colon removed with lots of complications I beleive I will pass on all that. Thanks Rocky I appreciate the candor and advice. Give that X-Box HELL!!!!

Ron

Good luck Rocky! I am sure you will be just fine. Especially with your new tuned exhaust :)

Hey Ken,

All of my best goes out to you from over here, the positive waves will have to go a long way but I´m sending them with plenty of HP so they will make it to you before you get to the hospital.

See you out at the track again soon!!!

And thanks for all of your help man.

PS - Don´t kill Dale until after Laguna :D :D :D

Good Luck to you RockyMT!

I want to read some stories about how you have perfected the technique of "backing in" the hospital beds around those nice slick turns in the hallways.

Best Wishes.

RockMT

Positive waves coming across the Atlantic as we speak.

Big believer in positive thought. With all these good vibes you have got it licked

Not to take away from the post......
I have had a great deal of people around me who have got diagnosed with Cancer....all people I care about......I'll leave it at that.....needless to say Its been a very very stressfull year.....My wife has had an enlarged Thyroid for a couple years now...... Docts always say no problem its just something you have to deal with...another doctor said the same thing...here try this medication..... So I finally said @@##!!%%$$&&^^**
to that, we found the best Thyroid man in Seattle, he looked at it did acouple tests and said its not lookin good...200 grams in size as opposed to 22-25 grams....so half got ripped out and that mother was all tumor....ok Doct take out the other side.....done...thankfully after radiation etc etc she seems to be ok (she's 44 yrs old)
one of her sister's and 2 brothers weren't so lucky........
Just thought I'd share abit....still makes me well up.......

Soo here's my point....sounds like it got caught in time....FANTASTIC!!!
I wish you all the best and good luck !!! please keep us updated, I know first hand it helps relieve the stress.......and yes I can still muster up some positive waves....headin your way as we speak.......
Take care and be patient....YOU WILL BE BACK AND RAILING YOUR BIKE IN NO TIME !!!!!!

Brian,
I don't know you but I feel you brother. Lost some good freinds way too young to that insidious disease. The good news is that I also have a freind who's wife had Lukemia wasn't looking good had two bone marrow transplants was told she could never work again couldn't be around people in general due to depleted immune system. She has been cancer free for five years now immune system has fully recovered and she's working again. Miracles do happen! Power of positive outlook. For ALL of you out there in UHE cyber space I know we are all tough guys, but sometimes it helps to share these things as well know that there are people all over the world dealing with the same things. I may not know YOU but I do know some of what you are feeling. And I appreciate the opportunity to offer prayers, karma, voodoo, juju, I got a little extra to go around. I think of friends in need often during the day, I hope it helps Rocky in his recovery, since I don't know squat about these bikes this is what I know about. As always I look forward to the day I can buy each of you guys a beer and talk some story. Be well, think positive waves Moriarity

Rocky was feeling well enough post surgery to phone and threaten my life for starting this thread.

Such is the only threat I can recall that actually put a smile on my face. :D

Way to go Amigo.

Sincerely,
Dale
