Best exhaust-system? Fs 650 e 2007

Wich system gives most HP?

Akrapovic is only ok...
Then we have SR-Racing, from what I´ve heard you need to remove the header(?)
to get to the oilfilter!!!

Another system is RAAS with dual carbon-silencers.
www.raas-mx.com, check Road and then KTM LC4, there is no picture of a Husaberg-system. The price is 999 Euro incl VAT and shipment to Sweden.

Is there any other systems I should check out?

An expensive exhaust system by itself will not give you the most HP.

The combination of any good Husaberg exhaust system combined with some tuning/dyno time should give you some good HP, as if the bike is really hurting for more HP anyway.

Exhaust options; Akro, Arrow, Doma, Big Gun, G Force.

Hello cubic,

The other issue is that it is not always the most horsepower that is the best - depends on what you want really.

Have a look in my gallery here and you'll see a comparison between what I consider the best full systems out there. My preference always leant towards the Doma system because of its fat mid-range on a genuine like-for-like comparison (and all things remaining equal).

Thx guys!

In Sweden most riders use Akra, since it´s "factory default".
Some use FP or Sebring beacuse they are cheaper.
This is all I know...

Nice to get input like the Doma system!

Of course I will change idle jet and main jet and verify it in a dyno.
Completly stock my bike puts out 53,6 Hp on the rearwheel, I would
like to have 60. I´d like to have the power/tourqe as early as possible.

I´ve gotten many good tips on how to alter the engine for more effect,
but at the same time I don´t want to service the engine every 2 seconds...

Stage 1 is to change the jets and replace the exhaust-system.
Stage 2 might be to drill out the carburettor to 44 mm and increase valvesize, apperently you don´t have to redo the cylinder head, just the seats for the valves :D

Hi cubic
I have a sil motor full system i was told about this by some supermoto racers, cheaper system than most and gives good power gain all the way through rev range.
cheers peter

I tried a few years ago to get hold of one of those for testing - but even though I gave the Italians my credit card number and ordered one, I never had any joy.

Looking at the dimensions supplied about the Sil system, I'd anticipate similar output to the other "main" race system makers.

where can I get a system in the states other that the akropovic ? I would like to put one on my 07 fs650e

I tested the SR Racing and the Sil. I sold the Sil 2 weeks ago. I was dissatisfied with both. Now i´m going to buy an akrapovic. The most expensive one i now but the others won´t fit very well. I ´ve heard the RAAS also fits and is not so loud. The SR always burned my boots and the Sil was pretty loud.

RAAS on Husaberg. No double tube exhaust available. 96db, power/torque???

Jochen Jasinski (new german champion S2) and his Team MH Motorräder are using a self made double tube exhaust with Akrapovic silencer. But it is required to modify the shock absorber. Including this modification the exhaust costs 2500 Euros :D . Want one?

Hi
We have tested alot as usual, we get +3 RWHP more than Acra full system without DB killer, but we use a double silencer system, so we can keep it quiet, approx 94Dba. We use the SR system and we are very satified with it. Expensive - Yes, and we have to re-posision the shock reservoar. Best output-absolutly.
Price in Sweden 1300Euro, shock mod 200Euro. Oilfilter easy to remove, do not have to remove header.

Thomas

I agree with Thomas.I have SR racing pipes in my Berg and I am quite happy with them..see my gallery for pics.

When changing paper oil filter you have to remove couple of nuts and springs to remove first part
of the right exhaust header(but not completely exhaust or the silencer) , takes about 5min.

Some say that you get up to 10hp more with these pipes compared to traditional 2-1 system.
One race driver that uses akra 2-1 pipe wanted to buy them from me, just because of this reason.
Maybe 10hp is overaggerating but they sound nice, and look good.
Rear shock "gas chamber"location is modified

I don´t agree to these extra horses caused by the SR exhaust on the stock engine. But wether or not, you won´t feel or see the difference between the SR and Akrapovic on track i guess. What´s definitively positiv is the volume.

In Sweden you can buy directly from me and i can also shipp world wide, otherwise you can find it on www.sr-racing.de its in german but should not be any problem.

Thanks, I'll think both options.

does anybody what the arrow exhaust is like on the berg? I had an arrow system on my aprilia rs 250... AWESOME! god i am still in love with that bike.
anyway, is it true that husaberg does not recommend any other mufflers or exhaust systems than akrapovic because it could harm the engine? thats what my dealer told me... he might be full of shizzle.

Hey schlingsi - shizzle is a very polite word for it

KTM clearly did a deal a few years back with akro to sell the aftermarket system as an official part, then, for some strange reason (probably not a lot of units solds each year) the others disappeared from the market.....

All the best,
Simon

I think that you wont find an arrow system for your Berg. When I was searching to find an exhaust system for my Berg before one year I didnt find anything on net or in local dealer and I am talking about new.I use a silmotor system and I am satisfited with it.Nice performance, low price but not so good fit.The sound its a little bit starnge you love it or hate it.But I think that Silmoto stop selling exhaust for Bergs as I saw in the official site.

If you bend the mountingplate on the right side exhaust pipe a little you will get a slightly different angle on the pipe and you woun't have to dismount the header.

Be careful so you don't burn the clutch hose. Been there, done that...

Sorry for OT

Big One > Akra for 550-650 past 2005
In France, they're used for sm france championship by the team MHRM
Only the silencer can give you up to 4 hp, and round the torque curve, giving better low to mid rpm.
the Db are roughly 93.

those 4hp, i assume wont show up before you jet the bike perfectly in the dyno?
Or are they allready there on stock jetting with a akra slip-on?!
