best camchain?

i offer links to two threads that discuss the best camchain.

this thread backs the DID chain:
http://www.husaberg.org/index.php?name= ... t=camchain

this thread backs the IWIS chain:
http://www.husaberg.org/index.php?name= ... light=iwis

however, within you'll see that someone has had a dodgy DID and also that the IWIS came with a split roller type?

so are we agreed that there is little or nothing between the two or is it that the IWIS (without being a split roller) is the best?

Hi all, it has come time to replace the timing chain on my little berg. It is an 04 450. My question goes like this, A lot of people have commented that the 04 chain was a bit like licorice, and stretched quicker than a hooker looses her underwear on friday night. So i have looked at going to the 06 chain, but it appears that the cam wheel was changed on the 05 bikes, was this because of the new chain or for other reasons. The other reason i am a bit worried is that the 06 chain is less than half the price of the 04, so have i read and understood everything properly or have i missed something here.

I have included the part numbers and descriptions as well as the prices. Any help is welcome and appreciated.

If all of this has been asked and answered before please excuse me, i am a wee bit busy at the moment as i am moving house again.

1. 805.36.013.000 - TIMING CHAIN 64L G67BW - Husaberg 2004 FE 450E/6 AUS/UK (AUS/UK) $57.97
2. 800.36.013.050 - RIVET LINK FOR TIMI - Husaberg 2004 FE 450E/6 AUS/UK (AUS/UK) $10.24
3. 810.36.013.100 - TIMING CHAIN 64L DID - Husaberg 2006 FE 450e/6 (AUS/UK) $24.30
4. 800.36.013.150 - RIVET LINK FOR TIMI - Husaberg 2006 FE 450e/6 (AUS/UK) $3.69

should we let price influence our purchase (2FRWS!!!!)

i would pay double or triple to make sure i have the best cam chain , i was not happy with the '' upgraded DID '' piece of liquorice . IWS for me .

i will go for quality every time , regardless of the cost

at 100 hrs, my '04 450 chain tensioner was at 75%, so i replaced the stock IWIS with a DID, got paranoid and replaced it again. (old age problem  ) comparing the 100 hr IWIS with the 20 hour DID showed no difference . they both appeared fine. prolly depends on which chinese factory produced it

usless camchain

IWS, no chans for the DID in our Engines.
We have at some point used Regina, worked OK for us.

For what it's worth, I still have the stock chain in my '03 FE400; as of this morning the tensioner is just past half travel. The bike has ~150hrs.

Thanks guys, maybe its too early for searching this.I still have 60 hours in my engine
