Earlier this week I made a thoughtless and unkind remark in one of my posts. Although the comment was made in jest I can now see how it was wrong, hurtful, uncalled for.

To the people I offended please accept my apologys.

To the moderator's thank you for editing my post and bringing my bad behavior to my attention.

This site has been a great place for me to talk about bikes and interact with people I never would have gotten to know otherwise. I hope my welcome here is not worn out because of my lack of thinking before speaking.

Bob,

I don't know what your "offensive" comment was, and don't much care. The fact is you manned up, admitted your mistake, and apologized. Something my Dad made sure I would do when I grew up. Sounds to me like you have a high degree of integrity and charachter. All the things I look for in friends and riding partners.

Have a great time in Moab,

Dale

I think that was tongue-in-cheek for:

"If it has ****s or a motor you may not be able to afford it"

Bob, your just lucky you weren't running your mouth at me cause I would have knocked a couple of your teeth out, you wrotten punk  !!!!!
Just kidding, .

re: we have taken a vote

Bob,

The votes have been tallied, and you've been kicked off the island.

Hey man, take it easy. Remember that on the intardnet, many things can be taken the wrong way. I don't think you said anything that warrants berating, it simply got misconstrued on the way. It happens to all of us when you spend this much time on the WwW.

You're one of our more awesome dudes at the site, and I hope you don't start hiding now that you've joined the ranks, those of us that I like to call "The Mis-interpreteds".

Please also understand that moderators don't judge and decide that you've done something naughty. We're simply here to make sure a very small thing doesn't turn into a big thing. What you did is a small thing, and it's no biggie. Just remember that posts don't contain inflection or emotion, so it's easy to misinterpret what someone types.

good times,

Hi Bob:

I didn't catch the post in question but I think that most members here have posted something that they were not too proud of from time to time. Myself included. It would be downright boring if every singe post was scutinized to white bread, politically correct, drone of sameness perfection. I have read most of your posts and find them entertaining and informative.

Owning up in this kind of situation shows integrity. As our Australian friends would say; good onya Bob.

Bob,
Well and thoughtfully said. I, for one, chuckled at the comments in your post so either I took it the right way or I am an insensitive clod. As Schimm said, inflection is difficult to discern in a typed message. Anyone who has been on this site for awhile has to be aware that you have a soft heart and rough humor. Feel compunctious if you must but don't beat yourself up 'cause we need you in good shape for the Moab ride. See you there.

Bob,
I have no idea what your post said, but having met you, I know you are a very nice guy (sorry to blow your cover!) that would not saying anything derogatory about someone if you thought they would take it seriously.
Keep on being the Bobzilla we know and love.
Have a great time in Moab.
Hopefully we can go for a ride sometime!
-Scott

P.S. I hope nobody takes this post wrong?!
