Yeah bro. Had my 04 650 from new. Still lovin it after all these years. Longest time I have ever Kept a bike.
Generally ride the dusties (gravel) and twisties (no cops out there) as I sruggle to find large enough trails and paddocks to open the big yella up.

I am popping over to the big dust bowl (ozrailia) early march for the outlaws Bday (perth area) and hope to hire a bike or better still hook up with a trail ride/tour whilst over there. Anyone hire out new model Bergs as that would be an ideal test ride to check out a 390 as a little bro for big yella.

Might even look around the local power stations to see if its worth a working holiday for a year or three. Seems a large %age of my fellow countrymen(women) are already there so there must be sumthing going for the big dust bowl.

B priddy kool 2 hook up with an aussie force ride 2.

lookin forward to seeing yas in the dust (damn, that would mean the aussie where ahead, an I always thort they were backwards).

hey from Sunny Melbourne!
Not an owner for about another 24hr, picking it up tomorrow. Giddy up! Been looking at the Bergsince i bought the 2009 KTM530. Too many people raving.
New to the Berg and new to Melbourne, just moved from Brisbane for work. Mate is heading down for a ride next weekend. If anyone knows th best places to ride i would certainly appreciate it and if anyone knows what the berg is going to need would be fantastic.

Please excuse a pom crashing the thread.

I should be moving to the south side of Sydney later, and i intend on shipping the Burg over with me.
Any good ridding outside the south or southwest of Sydney?
I'm looking to join a club and do some events if possible as well?

Thanks.

We arnt too worried about the poms crashing in on a good thing, you do it all the time :p .

If you are moving down here to live, have you checked out the rules regarding the import of your bike. If not do yourself a favour as you might find that it is very difficult to bring it down here and register it for use. The information should be available on the Australian Customs web site. Might save you a fair amount of arse pain in the long run to leave it there, and buy a new bike down here.

Picked up my first Berg day before christmas, 2010 FE390.
Wanted something a lot lighter than a BMW 650 to throw around in the bush, the 390 does that very well.
Located northside of Brisbane near Samford.
This is a great resouce for these bikes.
Any 390 owners have the mapping switch fitted?
Is it worth it?
Thanks
