Air screw or fuel ?

Hi
This is the carb in my 1997 FE400
It's a VHSB flat side
By the locaition of the mix screw it should be a air screw correct ?
Meaning that turning in will enrich it and out will lean it ?

yes this is true. it has a bigger effect if you turn the screw in of making it rich at off idle speed.

if you have a climbing graph and it stops at 3 across and 3 up then turning the screw in will make it say plateau at 2 up and stay there across to 3. at 3 it changes to the needle.
