Aftermarket kickstand/sidestand??

I'm curious to know if anyone has tried to mount one of our stands as well. I run Sales/Marketing at Pro Moto Billet, and I'm trying to talk our R&D dept into bringing in a Berg for kick stand fitment...

I really doubt we'll get lucky and have one that will bolt up, because each base is specific to a frame, and each leg has to be the correct bend and length, and even the foot pad size, position and angle are typically custom.

I should also mention that our latest version now utilizes dual spiral retaining clips and a pressed in oversize pivot pin. We also now use our new metal back plate as structure for the pivot. They are incredibly strong.

Is there still good demand for a high quality stand for the 70 Degree bikes? I need some ammo to throw at R&D!
 
I would be interested. I was told by PMB that your stand would not work, so I did not order one. I ended up buying another stock stand but I mounted an aluminum plate on the bottom so it doesn't sink in soft dirt as easily - since that is what tends to break them.

I would be happy to test a prototype :)
 
I'll throw in my vote of support for a aftermarket option, standard stand is ***** and I refuse to pay a premium price for junk, the plastic foot is rubbish and the pivot area might as well be made out of a sheet of pastry.
 
Has anyone cut theirs?

I've got the FE and was thinking of cutting it down for the SM wheels as its pretty dangerous at the moment.
 
talk to Pro-Moto Billet there starting a run of kickstands for the 2011 Husaberg FE570. told would be ready in a month. I was put on a waiting list
 
I ride both on and off road with my Husaberg 570 FE. 17" on road 21" off road. Had my stock kickstand cut and put a solid aluminum removable sleeve in it so I could use with both wheels. Works OK

after breaking mine, I bought this one.. Good quality and am much more careful about where I park my bike.

bumping this old thread...

I had someone back into my parked 390 and just clipped the sidestand enough to damage it - oval'd out the hole and ended up popping off the weird bolt cap that looks to hold the stand in place.

Anyways the lady was kind enough to say just let know what it costs to replace it.

So I just ordered a Pro Billet stand from cyclebuy (on sale for 139 - 10 bux off).

Rough shipping to newfoundland from the west coast of the US, but i'll report back in 2-3 weeks with how it goes :)
 
My stand showed up last week and i was able to install it yesterday.

Went super easy, but there were 2 supplied washers that were not useable due to size... So not really sure why they were included (Also no mention of them in the instructions).

I'll post some pics later
