Well finally joined up and paid a donation for advice and technical help....

Well ive finally knackered my FS650E Supermoto 2002 all down to my fault not topping up the oil, well i didnt know it was really that low in the first place... Before anyone ask yes ive been having to top the oil up between rides and between oil changes ever since ive owned the bike am only guessing it burning off by a knackered piston ring... ?

The last ride it just started to die on my like it was starved of fuel, lack in power, it did not throw me off the bike or nothing went bang in the process, it just died... The kickstarter moves so far before it goes hard, cant complete the full stroke...

The lad who pick me up said there a possability i had hot seized it and there a possability i could start it when it goes cold, fat chance that didnt work... Old boy at work said they use to put Redex down the spark plug barrel when the old Ariels, Nortons, Villiers, use to seize up the piston, couple of squirks of redex and let it soak for a few hours and then try and bump start the bike, see if that get the piston to move... Yeah tried that, now it engine removeful...

Got someone to have a look at it, just wanted to know what the possabilitys are...

Could have broken a valve spring and dropped a valve. You need to do some disassembly and inspection. I would start with the clutch and rocker covers and see what you have.

i think the piston has gradually coated itself up and down your bore. sorry to say...

Ive spoken to you before Dave/David on the phone about the disappearance oil, how much oil in the window guage (the bear minimal any more and it chucks it out in my case) it quite easy to lose track if am losing it some how...

I only just spoke to you in the last 2 weeks on how to remove the battery, as i just purchased a battery from you, if the engines coming out then i can change this also... I take the piston liner would need to be examine aswell ? At the same time is it necessary other engine parts examine or changed, i notice you sell the cam chains...

100% you must go right through the lot fella! and it's an expensive job I'll tell thee too!

If i'm right you'll have no change from £1,000.

sorry to tell you that but I have an identical bike here and it's come to that. You can now save money with AM pistons, saved liner through myself, also I recon. the valves and generally see where I can save someone a few bob.

Taffy
