Husaberg catalog #54803040000. These footrests have 3 ajustable height positions. I assume they go 1 lower, stock, and 1 higher. I want the lower position. Does anyone have these and can verify the positions?

Not sure about the part number but I have some genuine adjustable pegs on my 07 650. The range of adjustment is designed to go up and forward. I modded them to go down and back, but not as much as I'd like. I am going to get some Fastway pegs that do go down and back. The genuine ones are also expensive. Aftermarket pegs may not be listed for Bergs, but KTM ones fit later models, post, & including, 2000 I think. Mine also came in a KTM box.

to get what I want, which is to just lower I might leave the mount where it is and cut the rest of the peg off, lower it 1/2 inch and weld it back on. I may have to weld a little plate though so the loaded spring can have a place to rest against. I'm pondering just how it will be affective. The cut and reweld needs to be right on because there's not much room to be doing this. I have access to a plasma cutter, but might just take my time and die grind it off so I don't make a mistake.

Have a look in my gallery when its back up and you'll see what I did with mine. I also cut and welded my 501 pegs with the same objective, pics in the gallery too.

You may get what you want by modifying the pivot so the pegs slide down and back which is what the Fastways do and one of the mods I made to the my 650's adjustable pegs.

I wanted to go down but not back andmore than just the 6mm that the adjustable berg ones went. So I took them to work today and cut the pivot section off of them repositioned them 1/2 inch higher to lower the peg and rewelded. I also built a small weld wall on the upper section for the spring to come up against. They work and feel great! Here's a pic. Sorry for the fuzzy cell phone shot but you can get an idea of what im talking about. With this mod, 1/2 inch down only, the brake and shifter feel as though this should be the factory way of placing them.

Thanks Steve,
It took me about two and a half hours. I cleaned up the welds a little with an angle grinder and Burred some a little. Re-painted them basecoat silver metalic.
