Have not read the article yet as a mate and I share the mag and it's his subscription so he gets it's first.

Do you share the free beanie that came with the magazine this month? :D

MY mate wears it on his head for one week and when he's finished I use it as dunny paper for the next week before giving it back ..... :bounce3: :bounce3:

This sounds like it could be my problem. Anyone know if they have a updated part for the starter? Or are they just replacing with a new one?

not sure , but my dealer replaced under warranty

Hey eyspy i have 2010 570 and it has been doing the exact same thing as your bike, not starting in gear and once it got hot in a tight section and you turn it off to wait for someone it just dies like you have a flat battery. which is a little embarrasing when you have talked a bike up to the group of guys your riding with cause other than the hot start issue its a weapon of a bike. i had my bike in the shop this week for the fourth time before the bike had 700k's on it. the starter motor torque converter was replaced. did this completly fix your problem?

yes it did. Works fine now and I am quite happy with the results.

I am having this hot starting problem on my 2009 fe 570. What is my best bet in fixing this problem? Has anyone got a definite fix for the hot start or is it a matter of going through each fix suggested in this post and see what works?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Cheers
Eric

Mine has started doing the same thing, load tested the battery (Turntech) and all is well ,I did notice that if I turn the fan on manually and keep the engine as cool as possible that it starts more often than not. I had installed a digital volt meter back when I was having fuel pump problems, while running it has 14.4 volts so I know it's not the generator. After reading this thread i'm leaning towards the starter problem. Hate to contact my dealer, my last issue with the bike was the fuel pump, he just gave me the run around and told me not to take what I read on these forums seriously, I ended up buying and installing a new pump
