Hi,
I 'm just curious. Has anyone tried the 470 piston in a 550 engine, especially in an engine with a 2001-2003 cylinder head with the larger inlet valves? I've a new leftover Wössner piston, #8552DB and noticed that it's not possible to shave of the increase in the middle of the piston safely because to make it a little bit lighter, from the piston's bottom some material has been removed (factory standard).
This piston's dome volume is according to the catalog +5,6 cm3. But the compression height is 22,6 mm what makes it a little lower than the 8602D* piston from Wössner with a compression height of 23,4 and dome volume of -2,3 cm3.
Regards,
Stephan
