3 Weeks and still no site of a Conrod Kit.

i contacted suttos yesterday .they said there is one that has just arrived in west oz,i,m hoping this is mine,if it is i should have it within the week.
the same thing happened to me a couple of months ago.
.they said yeah its here,then someone else ended up getting it,it seems to me the dealers can tell you if there is one coming into the country,but they don't know if its getting dispatched to them or another dealer.
i'll give it another week or so and see if it arrives,if not i will get in contact with you again,just that i'd rather a newie if i can get one.

It it falls through try going to Wiesco's site. I see that they are making crank kits, maybe they make one for yours.

Popup, you are right about the dealers being able to see what's coming in. They can access the stock list and see what's in stock in WA, but that's where it ends. Surely they can ring WA and find out if it's yours or not. Have you rung Orangeberg? You never know what he has in stock at his shop. At the least he would probably help you out better than the service you are getting at the moment !!!

To Be honest, I was using them up until recently,and they were good at the start BUT, service has got pretty second rate to be honest, I got tired of the old " we will ring you back" and they never do. maybe we are too much trouble us interstaters. I have had a VIN plate ordered for 10 weeks, rang plenty times to see whats happening, 5 times told they will ring back, have not rang back once.
Did some business with Orangeberg recently that went Pear shaped (not his fault) and he has been exceptional in handling and follow up with the problem.
Seems to have a genuine interest in what he sells, riding and his customers. makes a big difference
 
listen fellas i'm sure if you talk to enough people you would find that every dealer would make some f* ups.
i work on the 3 strikes your out theory.that was only strike 1 for me.
i don't know if any of you blokes has worked in spares before,but i worked for nissan spare parts for 5 years and its not as easy as you think,when you have 3 phones ringing at once as well as people waiting to be served at the front counter + people whinging about the price of parts.after all we are only human.
thats probably why i'm more forgiving than most.
in saying that, i probably hit the rum more that most to compensate frustration.
come to think of it, i'm going in the worlds greatest pub crawl this weekend,i feel calm already..

The wait I can handle, But if someone tells me they will find out and ring back and then dont bother (five times for this particular order) I think I am entitled to get pissed off. I can give other examples but I think you get the picture.
 
I think the answer is to have low expectations and then when it all goes smoothly its a pleasant surprise, Thats the only way I can maintain may sanity with the motor vehicle industry, ie cars, bikes, trucks, and not to mention my Russian tractor, but than thats another story and a device for which they invented the term agricultural.
