2010 FX450 back firing, no power?

I have a section of the new fuel line soaking in the same fuel from the bike to observe any breakdown of the material. I will update the out come.

You might want to look at your starter wires/contact points Being you used it to get out of there. the starter was making a lot of heat. Could bite you in the *** later. Does your bike have a speedo ? Might buy a FX450 later.

All the wiring looks ok and starter works fine, it was only used in about 5 second busts.

The FX was designed to be a enduro x bike and may not be registable in the USA, where I live you can get registration for the Bush and country roads only, real cheap too.

The best add on so far would have to be the mapping switch, it's makes a world of difference.

Yes unfortunately no Speedo or lights, you can pick up a sat nav Speedo that uses satellite data for speed. I have a small sat nav on my bike, it only costs $100 aud so will be much cheaper for you in the USA.
I will post a pic.

Does the job, it shows a very small path of where you have ridden and plenty of other data and most importantly the speed. You can also download the data to a computer to see where you rode overlayed on Google maps.

Yep will do, so far after 24hrs it is exactly the same. The fuel line I took out of the bike was very soft and pliable.

So an update on fuel hose testing with a 2.5 kg weight on top to see how the fuel affects the strength of each hose this is a pic of the original fuel hose that was removed from the tank, it was not exposure to fuel for 4 days.

This is the same fuel hose after only 24 hours of soaking in fuel.

And this it's the auto transmission hose I have installed in the bike at the moment after 4 days of soaking in fuel.

As you can see the auto transmission line appears to be a much better option for in tank fuel hose replacement.

I will post more pics after 2 weeks of testing and also the exact brand and type of hose used.

Cheers,
Mark
