Is my 2005 650 supermoto made with a 5" rear rim from the factory or has the
Former owner replaced the standard rim?
I have trouble with Chain rubbing my 160/60 rear tyre and rim.
Can you recommend a narrow sport tire for use on public roads size 160/60?
Can i fit a 150/60 on a 5" rim or is the solution fitting a 4,25 rear rim?

A free beer for best advice :)
Kind regards Buller

Buller,

Mine came with a 5" rim, but I have also learned that a 160 tire is really different in width depending on manufacture.

I bought Dunlop Q3's, great tire, but the rear actually measured 173mm from edge to edge.

The chain ate up most of the right side, I used a hand planer to smooth it out.

The swing arm took care of the left side. Everyone else is running either slicks, or Power Pilots to ensure proper clearance.

Make sure all your chain guides and chain are good or new before you do any thing else. Front chain guide was the problem for Me.
