Hi I'm woundering if anyone can help I'm after a 2002 husaberg 650 engine ,
Mine demolished its self last year , bent Con rod , piston hit spark plug witch resulted in piston totally goosed cylnder head gouged to bits snapped valve ,plus kick start twisted , so I've priced bits up and it's going cost round £700 - £800 ,then labour on top ,so was thinking about trying to buy a never engine or maybe trying to find a 2004 engine if it fits or may be a ktm lc4

But all depends on cost and what fits in , I'm from uk I've seen recon engine for a £1000 but think its a bit steep could any one help or point me in right direction

Thanks

Hi

the newer berg engine will fit straight in the frame but you will need different ignition components and an fcr carb to make it easy

a newer head will fit on the old engine, rockers and valves are different so need rocker cover as well and the carb mount of the intake is set up differently for an FCR carb.

a newer crank 04 up also fits in the old cases but then the ignition wont fit.

I don't know about the LC4 engine , there was a thread on the idea long ago but i don't remember him following through with it.

1000 pounds for a "new" engine seems ok to me but the ignition and carb could nearly double that.
