1995 Husaberg FE350 electrical help!!

Hi everyone new member here. I have a 87 husqvarna 430 xc and I recently purchased a 1995 husaberg fe 350e and the wiring harness was a mess. Ive figured out most of the wiring to electric start it but can't get the bike to spark.

Ive checked the stator and reads 1703 .23
With red to blk and blk to green Idk if that's bad or not?

Also does the orange cable need to touch ground?

take the plug out and lay it on the head and then kick like hell. the orange should be taped up while you get a spark. its normally your ground (kill) wire.

just out of interest, can you find the 10th digit of your frame num,ber and let us know what it is? I'd like to know if it is a genuine 1995?

The letter on the frame is "S" i was wondering if it came standard with a electric start?

Hello,

"S" is 1995 model, normally the first electric start version was made in 1996.

I have seen many times in this last month reference in the parts book from 1989-1996 that an electric start part is listed as "95-"

thanks for the heads up Kurbz. Husaabergs cost a fortune then so to add electric start would have made the eyes water I think?
