I didn't catch how big a fellow you are Jmn349, but I'm a big (fat) power junky and I like the bigger bergs. But, I picked the 550 for my latest addition to the stable (see signature) as you pay for the big power in the big bikes by wrestling the dang thing through the woods. It is just the right combination of power, without the WWF riding style. The smaller bikes are more than plenty to tug my lard "third point of contact" around anywhere I want to go. But my big bikes just get me there quicker.

In any event, a Berg is the way to go. But that is the answer you will get when you visit this here Husaberg site!

Hey you didn`t say how heavy or tall you are or where you ride. Since you ride or rode a WR 250 and is looking for either a Husaberg or a KTM. I think you would be most comfortable with either the 450 or the 550. I used to race motocross on a RM 250, I traded a streetbike for a Husaberg FE 501E witch sometimes has more power than I`m used to but I manage

The big difference you will notice on these bikes is you don`t have to ride it like you are mad at it to get power, they handle good and once you are on the bike and under way they don`t seem as big as they are. Personally I can`t honestly tell you about how a KTM rides but that my 501 is what KTM based the 520 and 525 on to start with so it`s all up to you. Either go with the 450 or the 550 new but check around might still find a new 470 or 501. Good luck
